This will be my first Valentine’s Day as a mama and I have been racking my brain on what Valentine’s Day traditions I want to create with my boys. I want to teach them how to express love to others and show them that they don’t need to be in a relationship to celebrate Valentine’s day.
It can be a little hard to find activities to do with your baby during this day, especially while they are so little. You may be thinking about what kinds of gifts you can give your baby to show them you love them or what activities you can do together. Here are some adorable Valentine’s outfits and gifts you can buy them to show them you love them.
Cute Baby Outfits: Buy your baby cute little outfits and dress them up for Valentine’s day. Take photos with them and enjoy the day together in adorable outfits.
Books for Valentine’s Day: Read to your baby throughout the day and at night. Since its Valentine’s day, read to them books on love–how to love themselves and others. I know they are just babies but reading can be a fun activity you do with them. The books below are great for babies, some include popups which can be fun for them.
Cute Bibs: Let them drool in style with these cute bibs!
Cute Pajamas: At night, put on heart-shaped pajamas and do your bedtime routine!
Heart-shaped teething toys: If your baby is teething, you can buy them heart-shaped teethers.
Stuffed animals: Who doesn’t like stuffed animals?
Keepsakes: Its always good to create memories so buy some props and take pictures, write your baby/ies a love note and place it inside a picture frame that you can show them as they grow.
That is my list of items you can gift your newborn baby on Valentine’s day. I really believe it’s important to make traditions with your baby for Valentine’s day as a single mom so that you can teach them what love is as they grow.
How will you be spending Valentine’s day with your babies? Let me know in the comments!
